Trail-O at the O-Festival

As usual there will be competitions in Trail-O under the Norwegian O-Festival. With the new sprint norm map near the venue, everything is set for demanding competitions in Trail-O. There is full range of classes, and also opportunities to try this sport by entering direct classes every day.

Fantastic terrain and demanding courses

Fun for the kids: the Children's Festival

Also in 2011 there will be a Children's Festival during the Norwegian O-Festival. The event is targeted for children of ages 5-13 years and the aim is maximum fun!

Course lengths Saturday and Sunday updated

Course lengths for Saturday and Sunday have been updated and are available under "Classes/courses" in the menu on the left.

NORT Bulletin 3 is now available

in

The final of the Nordic Orienteering Tour will be organised as a chasing start at the O-Festival on Saturday 26th June. Bulletin 3, with the latest information on this year's first World Cup round, is now available under "World Cup" in the menu on the left.

Norwegian Craft Cup

For junior classes, two races at the O-festival 2011 will form part of the Norwegian Craft Cup. Friday's sprint will count as one competition, and the total result after Saturday's long distance chasing start will count as a second competition in the Craft Cup.

Course lengths for Friday's sprint

The preliminary course lengths for Friday's sprint have now been published under the left-hand menu item Classes/courses.

For elite and youth classes the race will be an urban sprint, designed to comply with a winner time of about 15 minutes. Other classes will be given a longer sprint course, with more forest orienteering and winner times of around 20-25 minutes in most classes.

Welcome to the O-Festival 2011!

The O-Festival Alliance of Akershus and Oslo, together with Måren OK and Nesodden IF, would like to welcome everybody interested in orienteering to the Norwegian O-Festival 2011 on the idyllic Nesodden Peninsula. The event will be held at Berger Stadium, just a short boat ride from Aker Brygge in Oslo.
