No display cards can be used in elite classes or the relay

in

Elite classes Friday and Saturday will run with EmiTag, providing online split times and results for the big screen at the arena. The four relay classes (but not the team competition) on Sunday will also use EmiTag. This means that Emit cards with display can not be used in these classes. In all other classes, display tags can be used as normal.

Hellviktangen - meeting place for orienteers of all ages

in

Hellviktangen is a gem of a place. Great beaches, plenty of space, a wonderful restaurant by the water, volleyball court, jetties, good crab fishing for the kids and, of course, sunshine! We recommend that all O-Festival participants take a trip here after the race Saturday afternoon! Even if there should be rain, there is a large covered terrace and space for everyone.

Almost 6000 entries for the O-Festival

in

By the entry deadline on Tuesday evening, the number of entries was over 5800, with 1700 Friday, 2500 Saturday and 1600 Sunday. This is more than at the same time in 2009, and if there are as many late entries as last year we will again reach almost 7000 starts in the Norwegian O-Festival.

Remember the deadline for entries!

in

With Whitsun coming up, don't forget that the first deadline for the O-Festival is Tuesday14th June 20.00 hrs (postponed). See "Entries" in the left-hand menu for more information. Welcome to the O-Festival!

Team Competition for W/M-12

in

The "father" of the Team Competition, Sigbjørn Modalsli, is once again ready with wonderful challenges for the youngest orienteers on Sunday. If you have not participated in team races in the past, read this for more information.

Trail-O at the O-Festival

in

As usual there will be competitions in Trail-O under the Norwegian O-Festival. With the new sprint norm map near the venue, everything is set for demanding competitions in Trail-O. There is full range of classes, and also opportunities to try this sport by entering direct classes every day.

The Children's Festival

in

FUN-O-FESTIVAL

All children are especially welcome to the FUN-O-FESTIVAL, this year's version of the Children's Festival. We have our own starting area for the FUN-O-FESTIVAL, centrally located at the arena. From here there are numerous demanding, easy, funny, wierd, ordinary and strange orienteering courses and tasks, suitable for children from 5- 13 years.

Accommodation

in

Why leave Nesodden between races?

Cheap, good accommodation at ”Berger School Hotel”

The O-Festival is approaching fast. We hope you are feeling fit and looking forward to a good time at Nesodden.

Fantastic terrain and demanding courses

in

Fantastic open pine woods, hardly used for orienteering previously, just a short boat ride from Oslo City Centre... These are the first things Map Chief Kristen Treekrem mentions when we ask him why people should come to this year's O-Festival.
